About Ashby Family Care & Support

Fostering a Strength-Based & Person-Centered Approach

Our core philosophy is to enable Individuals with IDD to participate in society integrating them into the community, employment, leisure, religious, or social activities.

We educate our caregivers and staff in meaningful ways to communicate, include, and engage clients by providing consistency, focusing on skills, and structuring tasks at their level and pace.

AFCS has developed strategies to support Individuals with IDD to develop self-sufficiency for independent living, by:

  • supporting participants to become more independent and successful in the community

  • assisting participants to access and use critical resources and supports

  • assisting participants in developing positive working relationships with people in the community

  • helping participants to achieve their individualized goals.
